Our Inheritance-Part 1 Financial Blessings

A quick message on our inheritance in Christ.

For the first Scripture I want us to take a look at is Phil 4:17.

Phil. 4:17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

(Philippians 4:17 NKJV)

I was always under the assumption, that my account was started by me.  But this is not the case.  For years I have talked about the spiritual inheritance I have from my four spiritual fathers.  I have known that the prophetic and apostolic lineage is deep and rely on it by faith.  

What i did not know was that the same lineage provides for my finances as well.  When Dan Duke started to think about his lineage (he is also in mine), it struck me that I have a very wealthy spiritual lineage in Christ.  All of my Spiritual lineage goes through millionaires.  God has made them all rich.  

A good man leaves an inheritance for children’s children.  

Prov. 13:22 A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, But the wealth of the sinner is stored up for the righteous.

(Proverbs 13:22 NKJV)

Wealthy people do not think the way the average person thinks.  They have financial trust funds that make sure that their children will always be wealthy.    There is not a Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, or other long term wealthy family that worries about their money.  The Queen f England does not get up and worry about the bills.  Now these families might not be godly.  But there is a way the money is to work and the blessing is to flow down to you and me.  

I have great news.  You forefathers in the Kingdom have made sure, in Christ, that you will never run out of money.  Remember, that God shall supply all your needs.

Phil. 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

This scripture is made in direct response to their sowing of a gift to Paul.  Notice in the chapter how he communicates to them.  Now I have preached that part for years.  But my faith was limited, because I did not understand that my account was started when Abraham was made the father of faith in Genesis 15.

Gen. 15:5 Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.”

Gen. 15:6 And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.

What I was sure of was the anointing and calling of God on my life, through impartation, was from a lineage of fathers, mothers in the Spirit.  The Father places a lot of emphasis on lineage.  As Dan Duke pointed out to me, as we both have been impacted so greatly about this, that our heritage is rich.

Psa. 61:5 For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear, revere, and honor Your name. 

I have always treasured the anointing that has been imparted to me. Protected it and guarded it with diligence.  I have also freely passed on that which is on my life.  I have understood covenant to a degree, but for some reason I have not saw the financial aspect of it in Christ.  I confess, I did not see it and suffered to some extent.  

As we look at 2 Corinthians 8, Paul is trying desperately for the church in Corinth to operate in the grace of the Philippians.  

2 Cor. 8:1 WE WANT to tell you further, brethren, about the grace (the favor and spiritual blessing) of God which has been evident in the churches of Macedonia [arousing in them the desire to give alms]; 

We can see that Paul is talking about the Philippians.  The Church at Phillippi is the first Church establish in Macedonia in Paul’s journey.  So let us go on.

2 Cor. 8:7 But as you abound in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in your love for us—see that you abound in this grace also.

Paul states that they abound in the grace for other areas, but this grace seems to be hindered.  Why? This is the one place that Paul did not take offerings.  Now, he states this in the eleventh chapter.  Not taking and offering because he was supplied by other churches actually kept people from operating in the full measure of grace.  When you read the whole chapter, you see that Paul is trying to get them in the place of zero lack.  

2 Cor. 8:9 For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).
