Timeless Decrees

Sep 21, 2020

What are timeless decrees? Every generation must make these timeless decrees to bring about Heaven on Earth. We find these timeless decrees throughout Scripture that are as applicable today as they were on the first day. In the book of Numbers, we find such a decree.

Num. 6:22  And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:

23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel. Say to them:

24  “The LORD bless you and keep you;

25  The LORD make His face shine upon you,

And be gracious to you;

26  The LORD lift up His countenance upon you,

And give you peace.” ’

As you read the Scriptures, you should take exceptional notice of such passages as you will find them useful in your walk with the Lord. If you learn how to war against the attacks of the enemy and to bring blessing. Daily I speak God's word over my life that I might walk in the Spirit and not according to the flesh.

These are promises from God that have been previously decreed and declared. With these, you have the backing of knowing God's divine will and purpose. It would be best if you had your watering holes—places of refuge in the Word that brings about strength and hope. I have many of these throughout the bible. They are places where I have met the Lord in the past, and I can return there. We find this in the Book of Isaiah.

Isaiah 55:1 “Ho! Everyone who thirsts,

Come to the waters;

And you who have no money,

Come, buy and eat.

Yes, come, buy wine and milk

Without money and without price.

The Call is for those who are thirsty. Come to the waters even if you have no money. Buy milk (the Word-1 Peter 2:1-2) and wine (Spirit-Eph 5:18) without money and without price. We purchase it through faith, and we receive it the same way. Isaiah 55 is one of my favorite watering holes. I turn these into prophetic decrees over my life. You can do the same. As you do, you will experience more life and power for your walk.

One of my other favorite watering holes is this.

Gal 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

This Scripture is one that I love to speak about my life in Christ. Reminding myself always that I am in Christ, and He is me. We are one in Him, and He is one with us. Us becoming one with Him was His prayer before being crucified.

John 17:20  “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word;

John 17:21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me."

Truth is truth in all dimensions. However, it manifests through faith and prayer. These are timeless decrees. Just as Paul made this decree to the Galatians, so must I make to myself today. That is the difference between truth and my reality. Be encouraged today and know that the Father is there for you. Speak and declare God's promises over your life. Don't allow fear and doubt to be the food of your soul. But feed yourself on God's lovingkindness and tender mercies.

Blessings,

Apostle Louis
